DANIEL-KONRAD COOPER

Founder of Rather Good Films, Ltd., Daniel has worked internationally on Studio and Independent Feature Films in a variety of Production, Camera and Accounts-oriented roles. He has assisted some of the industry’s most colorful characters, including Matthew Vaughn (Stardust) and Tommy Lee Jones (Captain America), and worked with budgets ranging from $20k to $200m with shoot experience in London, Toronto, LA, Paris, Mississippi, Montreal & Moscow. Fidelio is Mark Raso (Canadian), Mauro Mueller (Swiss/Mexican), David Figueroa García (Mexican), Mauricio Leiva-Cock (Colombian) and Björn Hering (Swiss). The first four all met at Columbia University’s Film School’s Master Program. The company has set up offices in Los Angeles, Mexico City, Zurich and Bogota. Their films have played in film festivals around the world and winning various awards including two Student Academy Awards-Oscars® in 2012 with “Under” and 2013 with “A World for Raúl”, 3 CINE Golden Eagle Awards, a DGA Student Award, two IFP Audience Choice Awards, among many others.  They are the proud producers of Das Egg’s film HARD.

 

lANCE KAPLAN

Born and raised in San Francisco, Lance Kaplan acted in commercials as a child and soon decided he wanted to make films. At 10, he made an animated version of "Jaws" with a Bell & Howell 8mm camera his uncle had given him and built a darkroom in his bathroom. Although he went on to study literature at U.C. Santa Barbara, receiving his B.A. and M.A. in English, and then worked in magazines for a decade, he eventually found his way back to what he loved most: making movies. He recently returned from southern India, where he shot his sixth feature, a mystery thriller. He lives with his wife Jessica in Brooklyn. IMDB

DANIEL ZIMBLER

Born and raised in South Africa, Daniel Zimbler is a writer-director working in comedy and drama. After starting out as a political and human rights analyst, Zimbler moved to New York to embark upon his MFA in film directing at Columbia University, where he stayed on to teach undergraduate directing. Zimbler's short films have won on the international festival circuit, and have twice been selected by the prestigious Short of the Week. He has worked with a number of celebrated artists in the process: from legendary British actor Julian Glover (Game of Thrones, The Empire Strikes Back) to Tony-winner Elizabeth Ashley. IMDB

 

LIBERTAYO

Libertayo is a multi-media company run by Nancy Merritt Bell and Michael McKinley in Brooklyn, New York. Currently, they are developing a variety of projects: books, film and television and most recently produced Finding Jesus, the CNN documentary series. Founder of Libertayo Media Group, Vancouver native Michael McKinley was educated at the University of British Columbia (B.A. Hons), and at St. John's College, University of Oxford (M. Litt). He is a journalist, author, screenwriter, and filmmaker. He is a citizen of the United States, Canada, and the Republic of Ireland, and lives in Brooklyn, New York. 

 

KEOLA RACELA

Winner of the 2014 Student Academy Award, Keola grew up in Southern California and studied film and digital media at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Before entering the M.F.A. Film Program at Columbia University, he worked as media director at Youth Rights Media, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating social change through youth-led documentary filmmaking. Born and raised in Princeton, NJ, Avery Willis Hoffman is a curator of public programs and a writer, director, producer for theatre, film, dance, and opera. Currently, she is Program Director at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City, Producer of FLEXN, a dance project created by Peter Sellars and Reggie (Regg Roc) Gray, and Producer of No More Water | The Fire Next Time, a new music theatre work by Meshell Ndegeocello and Charlotte Brathwaite.
